I found my pinion gear has three chipped teeth so I'm going to just replace the gears since I was already rebuilding the differential. They don't contact the wear pattern, but the idea of using them after going through all this work isn't sitting well with me. I have 373 gears now. My question is will any 373 gear work for the 8.8? I looked on American Muscle since that is where I got my 410 gears for my Mustang. It shows the gears are separated by model years. Did something change in the gears or can I use any 373 8.8 R&P?
