I have a 2011 Explorer with MFT and recently purchased a 2013 Mustang (Shelby GT500) with the Shaker Pro system with MFT.

The 2013 Mustang works differently than the 2011 so am I right in assuming the MFT system has been reworked?

For example, when speaking destination addresses, it has you do the city first, then the digits, then the street name and I have found this way to be much more successful on the first attempt than speaking the entire address at the same time like you do in the 2011.

Can the 2011 Explorer version be ugraded to work like the 2013 Mustang version? The 2011 version works much better since the latest software upgrade, but I still would prefer the version in the 2013.

Thanks

The 2013 Mustang doesn't have MFT. It has the first generation Sync system with Navigation. I had that same system in my 2009 Flex. First gen Sync is SOLID. That thing worked 100% of the time. NEVER crashed. It was a delight. MFT, not so much.

Interesting because I thought they both used Dragon Dictation Voice recognition software.

We need SIRI...

Perhaps someone should have followed the 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule...

With MFT, Ford has done just the opposite, if it is broke, dont fix it.... :D
