What's the difference between a 93-97 ranger front bumper and a 96 explorers front bumper?

Not just the apperances, more of how its mounted and such.

Reason I'm asking is becuase I really want one of those James Duff Prerunner bumpers. They are sweet.

Thanks in advance,

i am not positive but i dont think they are the same.

I imagine that you could mount one up to your '96, but the Ranger bumper (i'm almost positive) is narrower than the Explorer.

joe, is it a bolt on affair or is it "imaginative" fabrication to get it to work?

I really don't know. I don't know how different the front of the frame is between a '91-'94 and a '95-'01. If the frame horns are very similar or the same, the I imagine that it would bolt right up. I imagine that you could buy the front bumper designed for '91-'94 Explorers and mount it up, I don't know how it would look though. Do you think the Duff reciever bumper would look nice with the '98 fiberglass from Perry's?

probably, but the frames are different... the bumper hs brakets that cover the framerail..not bolting to it from the side.... instead of a straight "I" bumper bracket they have an "L" shape.....
