I have been looking to replace the fuel injectors in my 99 Explorer Sport and I keep getting the 19 lb/hr red injectors instead of the white 13 lb/hr ones. I just found out that the difference in the injectors is that my truck was built for California instead of the general Federal[49 state] calibrations..
So it looks like I am sol for the correct new injectors so I am wondering if there is a different MAF sensor used in my truck vs the MAF for the rest of the world? I know that the MAF sensor[in the Mustang world] is calibrated for the injectors so it would make sense that mine is different from the 49 state trucks...
And if I can find a 49 state MAF then i should be able to run 19 lb/hr injectors without a rich condition that I have gotten with the red injectors I have installed...
Any insight would be appreciated...
