I'd like to know the answer to that too. I think mine is brushed.
 






im not 100% sure, but i think the difference is the finish on the metal. i think that the polished is a little shinier, too. like i said though, im not 100% sure, so if someone knows for sure, please let us all know.
 






Your right, the diff is in the finish. Polished grilles are shiny. Brushed grilles have alot of little riges on the every metal strip, it's a dull finish but it looks good. It makes the grille lokk like it has more strips going across.
 






The only difference is that a polished grille has more of a shiny chrome look to it and a brushed has a duller more silver finish to it.
 






Ok, thanks for the help... but does anyone know what the grill side extension is?
 






I am pretty sure its the piece that covers the intake part just below the grille.
 






Polished VS Brushed

Polished is a chrome like finish, shiny
Brushed is an aluminum like finish, dull

As far as the grill side extension is concerned, are you asking about a brush guard? If so the side extension covers the headlights. Hope this is of some help.
