Difficulty starting warm engine / Check Engine Light

just got her diagnosed.....running lean in banks 1 and 4 they said to just change the spark plugs and that should do it. Hopefully. Thanks guys

If you thought it was a coil pack can you swap the packs around and see if the problem moves with the coils or stays put to help nail down the symptoms when you read the coeds?

I think you could do this with the 5.0L but you really can't with the 4.0L because all 3 coils are combined into one unit and the PCM determines when to fire each coil; it isn't practical to rewire the connector for this test.
 






Sorry, sometimes things can be swapped. It’s the old divide and subdue the problem I wasn’t sure.

It was a good suggestion; it probably would work for the 5.0 (V8) because they have two separate coil packs, if I recall correctly.

I always try to swap parts if possible to verify the problem; its a good way to keep from buying parts you didn't need. :thumbsup:
