I did a VIN lookup, but there is not information about whether I run OHV or SOHC. I have a 2000 Ford Ranger with a V6 3.0L Flex Fuel.
Also, I recently replaced my rear main seal, flex plate, torque converter, oil pan gasket, and did a seal job on my trans. Since then my engine started clicking. It sounds louder from the underside of the vehicle. Reading around I saw that the oil lifters are a common source of that. I am hoping I have an OHV engine and that the lifters are the source of the problem.
[EDIT]
Also, I switched from regular oil to synthetic oil, which I read can precede the engine clicking.
