The foam around the ac condenser/radiator?

The plastic pieces around the same opening?

Can I discard this stuff? Will it improve cooling?

It's off right now so I can replace the condenser.

probalby ought to put it back, otherwise you might get some weird whistles or howls while driving. I notice you mention 2" shackles in your sig- where did you get them? my oem ones are rusty to the point I think it's not safe- theres holes in them you can put 3 fingers in.

Good move... the pieces are there to improve cooling. The shroud pieces help create a ram or funnel effect that increases the cooling ability of the fan. This is primarily a benefit when traveling @ speeds under 20mph since speeds >20mph will have sufficient air flow to cool adequately. The foam pieces around the condenser help the AC system from being overworked by keeping the hot under hood air from negatively affecting it's operation.

Ok, so I'll put it back then. I got involved in other things yesterday & wasn't able to put things back together yet.

Thanks

Yeah, I would put em back. My 92 was missing all those plastic peices, probably when the ac was replaced. I picked up the peices from a junkyard and it helped my cooling a bit. Thats what those two slots in the bumper are for, like a ram air setup for the condesor/radiator.
