I was wondering if these fit w/o any modifications.

i've got 270/75 R16's on my bone stock '01 Eddie Bauer. no mods, no problems. i think they look really good. my other trucks have 235/75 R15's and they look a bit wimpy by comparison.

Am I correct in assuming the first number is the height?

Width and the 75 means that the sidewall is 75% of the width..aspect ratio..pretty sure that's how it goes.

I have 265 75 16 mounted on my 95 stock eddie bauer.

That's what I'm running and I just had to trim a little off the bumper and fender flare/running board. I could take pics tonight if you need.

Don't know about the OP. But I'd like to see pics. I'm considering going from the original 255/70/16's to 265/75/16. The speedometer is already reading faster than actual speed. The increased diameter would look better and may even fix my speedo.
