Does anyone know how the 5-spd shift lever comes apart?

Do any of you guys know how the gearshift lever on the 5-speed comes apart? This is for a '91. The bezel on top of the lever with the gear pattern written on has come loose and it is vibrating with a loud buzzing sound when the truck is in motion and is absolutely driving me up the wall. I have it taped down for now just to save my sanity but it's pretty tatty looking. I have the fiche/exploded parts diagram from the dealer and it shows all the parts but it does not show how they are all fastened together. I tried gently prying the bezel off to glue it back down but even a slight amount of prying left a nick on it, so that's obviously not how it comes off. I don't want to tear it up getting it off. I had the same problem with mine. The shift ball itself just pulls off, you might have to pull kinda hard but it'll come off. I'm not sure how I fixed the bezel thing though...it's been quite awhile. I remember I did use hot glue to fix it though, just don't remember where I glued...once you get it off you'll probably be able to figure something out. Sorry if I wasn't much help.
