Easy enough to find out... Lock the car with the drivers window down and open the door from the inside. My 95 XLT is completely stock and the 'alarm' is just the horn. If you have the keypad on the door, I suspect you have the same setup.

You can also tell if you lock the car, sit in it and after 30 second a theft light will begin to flash. This will signify that the car has an alarm and that it is active. Like he said above, it is a passive system and just blows the horn if a door is open when the car is still locked.

ok so if i get in a lock the door an just sit there it will turn on the alarm an the light with flash on the dash saying alarm

Interesting. I just tried it on mine.

I can lock it and open the doors or hatch, nothing is happening.

Yet, after about 5 minutes, the horn and lights go off. I had the same happening to me last year. I took the key out of the ignition and vacuumed the car. When it went off, I was in a sort of "awkward" position with the vacuum (not what you think ) in the rear, took me a moment to get it turned off.

The manual does not list anything about any alarm at all. Nope, nothing aftermarket, vehicle is all stock.

Greetings!

i have the 95 explorer an couldnt figure out if it had an alarm in it

i was just wondering how would i find out if my alarm has been disconnected on my 95 ford explorer ? There's a theft light on the dash but it don't come on after i lock the door an shut it ..... i even shut the door an had the mindow down to see if the alarm would sound when the door opened but nothing happened still !! do you have any answers for that ???

How about leaving the door open for about 5 minutes, like I said, like on mine? Maybe you have the same different setup as mine does.

Greetings!

Im gonna try that ! but i was wondering how am i supposed to disengage the alarm after it goes off ?

The alarm is integrated with the keyless module. Either stick the key in the door and unlock it or hit the unlock button on the remote(you may have to hit lock first).

Well that the thing , The previous owner didn't give the remote for the explorer !! so i can turn it off thru the key unlocking the door ?? let me know so i wont set my alarm off an not be able to turn it off ???

That's another one. When my alarm goes off, I have to put the key in and turn the ignition on, then it goes off.

Pressing the unlock button on either remote doesn't do anything, regardless if I press it for a few seconds constantly, or several times.

You know, mine didn't come with remotes either. I bought them online for about $10 each.

Greetings!

i was wondering what would be causing my right turn signal to not work at all ?? i replaced the flasher cuz it was making a loud buzzing noise an it still don't work !!! what could be the problem if you know please help ???? thanks sweetness

sweetness, your turn signal issue could be caused by a bad bulb, check the front and the back turn signal bulbs

well i checked both front an back turn signal bulbs an they look fine an even work great , i switched them from the right side to the left an they both worked !! i looked all true the owners manual an it has nothing in it about the turn signals.... it just says how to change them , every where i ask .... its the same check the bulbs they say

So you are saying the bulbs do light up both sides, but they do not flash for a right turn, only the left side flashes?
Have you tried turning on the four-way flasher/Hazard light? Does that work ok?
When the right turn signal is on, do you get still get a buzzing noise?
If so, does the sound come from under the dash on the driver's side?

well i took the bulbs from the right side an put them on the left an they worked , but when i put the bulbs back in the right side all i get is the noise the turn signal makes when it supposed to flash but no lights on the right side !!! even on the flashers the right side don't work .... so do you have any pointers !!! I've been told that the turn signals don't have there own flasher life fuse

The hazard and turn-signals do share the same flasher unit. I think your problem could be a dirty Hazard flasher switch, turn it on/off/on/off/on repeatedly a few times then see if the lights start working like they should

So i just need to turn the turn signal ON an OFF a few times an then it should START WORKING like it needs to ?? I will get back with you an let you know if its workin

No, not the turn-signal switch, the hazard flasher switch.

You will need to work the Hazard flasher switch in and out, on and off several time. There could be dirt/dust/fuzz keeping the switch terminals from working properly, or it could be tarnish on the switch contacts. Either way, turning the hazard/warning light switch off and on several times will cause a "wiping" action when the switch contacts slide back and forth against each other, cleaning the contacts as they rub against each other.
