Not really. I didn't notice ill effects...so far. I've been leaving those lights on for the full 40 minutes and there was no problems, other than the fact that the lenses were hot, which the stock bulbs do it too. So no ill effect.
I think it was like $2.50 for a pair of bulbs in Autozone. They are in a yellow package, Blazer brand, I think. Look for 912NB and 194NB. It's very important here because NB denotes Natural Blue, which means that the bulbs are naturally blue instead of painted on so that's why you'll get this white light. If you get painted blue, then you'll just get blue. Good luck!
