donut gasket make or break explorers?? i have a bad donut gasket how much power/fuel economy am i losing??:exp:

donut gasket make or break explorers??

No.... He would be losing a lot more with a bad donut gasket. His upstream O2 sensor will be reading really lean because of the leak and will cause his ECU to go into limp mode. Gutting or removing the cats just throws a catalyst inefficiency code and won't really have much effect on fuel mileage. Removing the Cats certainly isn't helping him any though....
