I have 2000 XLT 4 dr and the drivers door actuator is 'hanging'. It looks like the poorly made stud on the actuator that holds it to the door has rotted away. My question is.... How do I get the actuator disconnected from everything else to either replace or repair it? I've got the door panel off and the protective barrier peeled back, but I can't really see very much. Responses are appreciated.
