I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer explorer. I have been having problems with the door ajar bell and the overhead light. I have read many of the posts here and have tried the WD40(after I had already taken apart two doors) and have the same problem. I was looking at the wiring, and noticed the small black wire coming from under the dash was broken, but I couldnt find the end going to the door. I have since slamed all the doors, liftgate, and liftgate glass with no results. With all the doors closed and the key on engine off, the message center does not tell me that a door is ajar. When I turn the key to off, the door ajar bell keeps beeping. What am I missing?
Found the black wire, also found a red one that was starting to come apart. fixed both
