Door Handle feels loose.

My driver side door handle got really loose. I can still open the door with it but it's just dangling and feels really lose. I searched and found people with problems with the door lock being stuck which i had the problem but helped it by spraying the latch with WD40. Also read about people replacing the latch because the spring broke. What is my problem? Would replacing the latch fix this door handle problem?

Common problem, the mechanism inside the door broke It just happened to me about a month back but haven't researched what parts/work is necessary to correct.
