Door latch issues.

I have a 98 explorer and the latch and the lower hinge was really worn . Went to the ford dealer for the hinge pin as that was all that was worn. no luck, ford only sells the entire hinge for 70 dollars. ( I've replaced pins in my ford pick up and it was only 7, seven ,dolars.) so I went to the parts store (O'Reillys) and bought the ford hinge repair kit ...part number 384382 and checked the bushings and found that they were wrong ones, but the bushings set ........part 383742 had the correct ones ,the thinner bushings fit right in. so I hope this will help . My problem is that I am lost when I started to re install the linkages to the latch , power lock , and the handle linkage . Is there a good picture or diagram showing reinstalling them . I get two done ,then can't fit the others or I get three done and the last two won't come close. Help Kildar

I could use help with that as well, my "husky" grandson was in a hurry to get out of the backseat one day and damn near pulled the handle off. I cannot get it back into the slot. Have to open the door from the outside to let any one out.
