Door Latch Problem - Still not fixed

Ok, I found the info I needed deeper in this site. I've repaired the rear Drivers side door on my 97 Eddie B and I took pics along the way for anyone who might want to try the same solution.

If your door situation was like mine:

Door will not open from the outside or inside, lock mechanism doesn't work, but jiggling it around while pulling on the handles will sometimes allow the door to open

Then this fix might work for you. I don't know how to post pics here, but if anyone wants to try the 'rebent spring in the latch' solution, you can email me and I'll send you the pics and instructions.

Well.... i have a problem like that. my drivers door will open from both in and out, but wont lock.. and my two back doors will only open if i unlock it with the remote or by the drivers door.. but if you pull the handle before i unlock it, you have to pull on the handle from the outside and then unlock it, and it will open. What should i do?

Gee, that's confusing GreenMonster..

Sounds to me like you have lock actuator problems. I'd call the dealer and ask them for a price..ebay usually doesn't have many of those available.

My fix is for the little spring in the latch assembly, which is still working, going on two weeks now. These trucks, while fairly nice rides, are subject to a whole mess of dumb little quirks that we just have to put up with I guess.
