door lock actuator removal

anyone know how to remove it from the lock linkages? Seemingly pushing up towards the engine to unhook it, but I can't get it around the window track far enough.

ah, the answer was in the question. remove the window track.

Rivetor or other ideas?

Well everythings good and I'm trying to re-attach the door lock actuator to the door, via the ford rivet part. I can't find a rivet gun (air or hand) that fits the thing (much larger than 3/16). I've got some 3/16 rivets and they don't even come close to sealing the deal. Any one have any ideas? Right now calling some repair shops in the morning is only hope.

did you have any luck using the huge ford rivet? how did you finally install the new#actuator?

I think you'll have to use a small bolt and nut on the actuator, instead of the large rivet. It's also easier to (5-minute) epoxy the nut to the actuator, and then attach it.......

I found the right size rivet gun on ebay, but a local body shop was willing to do it no charge.

I tried the small bolt, but there was no way I could get it into place, and tighten it in that small of area. Maybe those new screws that tighten themselves would have worked, until they rust out...
