Yesterday I was driving my friends to pick up their vehicle from the shop, and again faced the problem of rear driver side door not opening from inside, and even from outside. I had to lock/unlock couple of times to get it to open... Like the doorlock solenoid is getting stuck... and ovcourse when I try to re-enact (pardon my english - I'm russian) the problem, it works perfectly...

Anybody else had that problem? What is the cause? What is the fix?

Don't know for sure but sounds like a door lock actuator.

Shoot in lots of oil into the latch

Till it's dripping out the bottom. These back latches dry up and corrode. Gently work the inside handle about 30 times and it will start working. Most people break off the teeth of the handle because they use so much force. It doesn't do any good because you are only pushing on a thin stel wire. The outdoor latch not working is a little unusual. Learn to oil the latches every time you change the oil. Power washing takes its toll.
