Pass. side door lock wont unlock but will lock just fine? I know there is threads I read upon, but was wondering if anyone had that same exact issue or know exactly what it is before I go tearing it all apart and ordering(yipes money) new parts. Thanks for any thoughts, suggestions or commenting on what you know what it is. It just wont unlock but locks fine

On mine, the rivet that secures the actuator to the door broke, so the entire actuator unit moved rather than just the rod (as it should). Open the door and you can see the rivet head next to the trim panel edge below the latch. Verify it's still there.

Going to look now after 2mins of unlocking and pulling inside handle.

If anyone doesn't know, my last resort worked to get door unlocked:

I sit in drivers seat and click unlock button rapidly while reaching over to pass. door pulling inside handle rapidly until I feel and hear a click. Before it only took a few times, it's getting worse where now it can take a min. of doing it before I can get door to open

Just a thought, but unscrew the lock cover barrel (part that sticks out) and see if that helps. Something may be hindering its movement. My lock rod got bent a little when I fixed the open door alarm sensor in there and I have to hit the unlock sometimes 6 or 7 times to get it to pop up.

Working with the lock mech itself is not hard, as long as you have small hands. See if you can get some fingerless gloves because a lot of what you are doing is by feel and your hand can get pretty scraped up.

thanks guys, tomorrow or next Monday bringing laptop outside with me and reading and looking at pic while looking/working on vehicle, a lot to read and look at. any more suggestion always helps because that is a lot to read/look at on those threads
