Door locks activating while washing the car

An interesting "feature"- while washing the car. Using a gentle stream (not a blast) of water, if I let it run over the passenger side front door handle the lock mechanism activates. Move the hose away and back, it activates again.

Anyone else noticed this?

I just washed my Explorer yesterday for the first time. Yes, I had that problem at first. The solution is not to carry the remote key with you. I placed my remote key in the house and resumed the car wash with no further problems.

Of course it does; it thinks you have your hand on the door handle!

Hey guys,

I looked into this and verified that if you have Intelligent Access key setup, this is normal. Stang Cobra had the good suggestion to not have the key with you while washing your Explorer.
