Well, my 2001 had been having symptoms of the notorious driver side door spring issue. The other day after work it wouldnt open at all, I had to open my rear door and reach up and give the handle a pop for it to open... The door unlock pin didnt wanna pull up or move either. I felt pretty ghetto opening my door that way, especially in a parking lot full of Lexui (plural of lexus?) and Beemers. So I will not stand for it anymore! It will be fixed tomorrow morning 
haha. Ive read the thread many times and am pretty sure I understand the issues. That being the spring is either jammed in the lock mechanism or has come unattatched all together.
Anybody have any useful tips b4 I do this? I dont want this fix to turn into a project haha
