Hey guys, I've been researching on how to lift my 97 4 door X for a while now. I think I've decided on a TT up front and double AAL in the back for about 2 inches all around and to help the sag in the back end. any other ideas?

But I wanted to know any places/prices for the double AAL and anything I nee dot know about the install or TT up front!

Thanks!

Double AAL will ride HARSH. I would go extended shackles ($50) and one AAL.

New Springs

I was also told about getting new leaf springs for the back, from OME (old man emu) or another place that fabricates new springs for trucks, etc to new specifications. So they would have a new set of leaf springs for my Explorer that would lift it about 2 inches, eliminating sag and I jsut replace the whole leaf spring set on both sides, more $ though... Any comments?

Frome what I hear they ride great! But yes much more $$$.

They supposedly ride wonderfull but the same lift can be accomplised with AAL and shackles for around $100. Just depends on what you are looking for.

OME Springs are the long term answer to Shackles and add-a-leafs. I've been searching through lots of threads and most people end up upgrading to lift springs anyway when they get sick of the rough ride. Much better flex too. The add-a-leafs make for a stiff ride.

whats the next cheapest lift after shackles and a TT?
