hey guys,
i was thinking about replacing my receiver because the back light went out and ford said it would cost 300 to replace so i decided i wanted a double din receiver like this JVC KW-XC777
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/JVCKWXC777

is it worth replacing?

also, i was thinking about getting it factory refurbished from overstocked.com cuz that would save me like 100 bucks. is factory refurbishing a good idea?

thanks
zorro

getting a new head unit is probably a good idea...obviously more powerful, if thats what your going for, as well as more options ie: line outputs, etc...., as far as the refurb goes, it doesn't sound like a good idea personally, but if you're strapped for cash i guess take your chances, but i wouldn't do it.

As long as you get the factory warranty with the refurb, and dont mind waiting if it needs fixed, I'd go for it!

Go here and get the part to replace so your display works..it is only $85. I did mine and it works great...

For $20 he tells you how to do it yourself...but I just bought the part cause I did not have the time...
