im looking for some noise coming off the pumpkin or drive shaft when engaging 4x4
not sure mine sounds like a fairly annoying consistant type of grinding noise :/ .... hard to imagine somthing in the pumpkin is broken rather possibly there is deffective member in the pack of thrust washers it looks fairly bullit proof but need a write up
if it sounds loppy its the ujoints if its grinding it could be anything round
ive replaced the ujoints that was first stage of 4x4 failure points for me along with the hubs of manual de automatica i think you have the order wrong here on the forums you should check the ujoints for corrupting the hubs first while down there then go about purchasing new hubs but now i need to understand the punkin of pumpkin ....
that is what has a tendency to make noise up front in that cluster ?
