I have a high frequency vibration that has appeared after my mechanic replaced the universal joint on the front drive-shaft. You can feel t in the seats, but not the steering wheel....feels like a buzz. He replaced the U-joint with an aftermarket part and I was wondering if that might be the cause? Or, is it possible that the shaft itself was damaged while driving it when the original went bad (drove on it for about 20 min at 60mph)? Is there a bearing at the other end that could be bad too or that could have been damaged by the mechanic?
