My door arm rest has let go. The inside foam is deformed and the fake stitching has begun to tear apart. This whole door panel is basically glued together. I bought a thread and needle kit on amazon for 10 bucks. It came with half moon hooks which is what you want for this job. This is a common problem for those of us in the high mile club as wear and tear eats at the glue stitching.
Here we go. The trick is to stitch over the factory seams and keep the needle on the inside when going from bottom to top. Keep tension on as you go.
A lot of patience and keep hands steady like you are performing surgery. It came out OK.. think I'll do a second stitch once this wears in and starts to bring back the shape. The corner was hardest section to stitch.
