Hi guys, I know there are many threads about door issues and I have read many of them. I just wanted to post a thread about my specific problem since I think it is a few issues combined!
For a while my driver door unlocked inconsistently. It owuld only com eup half way, so the only solution was to lock in manually on teh inside then use the inside door handle to open the door. This happened about 20% of the time.
A few days ago, it did ther same thing, however, the inside door handle no longer worked to open it at all, it was stuck int eh middle position. the outsdide handle was the only solution to open the door no matter what.
I took the door panel off and examined everything and tried to see what the issue was. I thought I could just buy a new inside handle and it would be fixzed. I have to now since I broke a few of the thread on it, so it is useless! I can repair that by myself, but I think there is more involved, with teh lock itself is messed up or it is corroded.
Any inputs? Any help or suggestions are great as to what to do or get a technicians opinion. I don't want to be paying for hte dealer to fix my locks. (As the back door have locks issues as well!)
