Driver electric door lock switch only works with door closed?

Title pretty much says it all. But I'll explain it again.

All lock function with key fob and interior switches only hiccup is the driver side door unlock switch only work with door closed. It will not unlock with it open, however it will lock with the door open.
Again if you close the door it will unlock and lock
If you open the door it will only lock it.

Side note: I have the autolock function disabled thru the factory sequence.

Also I did search the forum but coukd really find the exact issue I'm having. Thanks
 






Nevermind after i posted this I found a thread that is similar.
 






bad connection> thats the only reason imo it could work with door in a certain position. maybe its a bsd ground to master switch?
 






The thread you found should point to a damaged wire inside harness boot at door jamb....that's my guess at least..
