Does anyone know where I can get a replacement bottom foam piece?
The seat cover in my '97 is fine but the bottom is wore out on one side so you do not sit level. I really don't want to get one from a wrecked or junked one as I would most likely have the same issue.

Before its gone, I used a 3" or 4" thick piece of foam, cut it in a square that fit the center of the seat (mine has the bolsters and lumbar), disassembled the seat and stuffed it in. The seat cover took care of the shape. A year or so later and I'm still happy, happy, happy.

The previous owner told me that she defiled the rear seats on mine about 2 years after I purchased the vehicle :(

^If you feel better, I found viagra in the back of mine

HA HA HA HA.... this took the wrong turn fast lol. where to get a seat cushion to what was done on it lol.

anyways as stated above that is a good site to try or a local auto upholstery shop can make a new one or add to the existing one.

DITTO: I had mine done at a local upholstery shop. Was the best $200 bucks ever spent on the truck, it felt like a brand new truck after that.

You'd be surprised at how much difference the feel of a new or rebuilt seat feels.

I had the same problem with my 97 and what worked for me was the foam from a passenger seat because all the driver side ones you find are beat

Thanks guys. I will look at doing what Joe Dirt has on his sticky. I knew trying to get a new factory foam piece was a long shot but thought I would give it a shot.

I don't want to spend a lot of money on the old girl since she has 323k on her. My goal is 500k.

You could try bluespringsfordparts.com. They have them for the 3rdrental gens. I have not looked for the 2nds.

Well I finally got around to fixing my driver seat. I used Delexploder's idea and went to the bone yard and got a passenger seat. After I got my drivers seat all apart I found out the metal rod the springs attach to was broken and only one spring out of four was attached. So after replacing the broken rod and foam my seat is now good as new

Awesome, I also have the pass seat covers on my drivers side lol I know im a cheap ******* :-)

There are plenty of good seat cushions at the JY. Like delexploder said the pssnger side ones a fairly decent. Mine is.
