driver side speaker

I have a 96 2wd explorer and my driver side front speaker wont work unless i hit a hard bump or turn it up really loud and have good bass in the song. we pulled the radio out and checked for loose wires and didnt see anything is there anything that you might could think of that is causing this? because it is really agrivating

Pull the door panel off and check the speaker itself.
