I have a 1993 Ford explorer limited, that I changed out the front two speakers, because the driver side front and back doors weren't working (Sound comes out, its just very quite compared to the other speakers). Now with the new speaker the driver side door still isn't working. Any ideas of what this might be?

It has the stock amp, I replaced the 2 front speakers with pyle plus 180w 5x7 2-way speakers, and i replaced the rear sub with a 200w pyle plus 6.5'' 3-way 4ohm sub. A JVC head unit.

I have found that the stock amp fails in weird ways. I have owned a number of explorers and I have seen it fail by randomly cutting out/static, and also just being quieter on certain speakers.

If I remember correctly, the stock amp is only 75 watts anyway, so I highly recommend replacing it. You can get a bypass for the door speakers and then just a cheap amp for the sub. All you have to do is run RCA and power back to that compartment.

When I bypassed my stock amp, I removed it completely and installed a 1200 watt amp in the space the sub box took up so it would be a lot more time consuming to steal, and is completely out of sight other than the wires coming out that go to the sub box.
