driver's door

I have a '96 Explorer w/ a V8. The drivers door does not respond to the remote key or inserting the key into the lock or the key pad. The key goes into the lock but does not turn. All the other doors open fine, whether I use the key pad, the remote key or inserting the key into the passenger side door.
What parts do I need or did something come loose inside the door panel?
Is this an easy fix?

Sounds like someone damaged the mechanism while trying to slim jim it. I did the same thing to my sisters car when I was a kid. You can probably just tear off the door panel (inside) and take a look whats in there. It sound be obvious with a broken or disconnected rod or something. Good luck and nice ride!
