I have a '96 XLT with cloth interior. Interior is perfect except for the drivers seat cushion. The cloth is NOT ripped torn or worn out, but the seat bottom is wrinkled. It appears either the seat cushion has compressed over time or the fabric has stretched a bit. Can this be corrected...Ray

Does it have power seats? If it does then try inflating the lumbar support and bolster support cushions. That's the small switches located on the left of the seat. You will hear a small air compressor inflating them. To deflate, push rocker switch in opposite direction. Perhaps that is why cloth is loose and wrinkled.

I read some where on here that you can steam a cushion with a steamer, and it will decompress. I actualy did it today, I had to remove the seat from the car and remove the leather, you might beable to do it through the fabric. But it works!!

Where can I find replacement driver seat cushions for a '98 eddie baur?

According to my ex-Ford mechanic neighbor, they are no longer available.

He took his 91-94 Explorer to a upholstery guy here, got the cushion replaced, and had some sewing of the seat cover done. It looks like new, and it is firm like when it was new. Cushions were custom cut by the upholstery guy.

Old post...cost?

Hi,'
Saw that you were online as I finished this old post.
Do you know what it cost to have the seat reupholstered?
Thanks
Ron
