Hello all. I had to use my '97 X 5.0L to get some people out during Sandy and now I'm having some issues I'm assuming are related to driving through way too much salt water and I'm looking for alittle help.

I have 2 persistant DTC's comming up, B1202 and B1185. I've searched B1202 and it keeps comming up with a sending unit failure for the EFI but I'm not having any fuel issues and it's not my check engine light on, it's the ABS light. The description the code reader gave me was rear dump oulet valve circuit malfunction. After the light came on I had a serious drop in braking power untill I pulled the ABS fuses. A few days later I cleared the codes and put the fuses back and now the brakes work normaly. The B1185 code I can't seam to find anywhere and there was no description.

The only other codes I had were P0133 and P1132, but I believe that may have just been the connecter for B1S1 being loaded with water. It hasnt come back on since I cleared the codes the first time. I don't want to start digging into it untill have a better understanding of what I'm up against. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok well the B1202 is actually fuel sender circuit open, P1132 is lack of HO2S11 switch sensor indicates rich, P0133 is heated O2 sensor circuit slow response bank 1 sensor 1. As far as B1185 goes I can not find it in my explorer workshop manual, I'll have to look when I get to work and see if the master etc manual has it.

So with the P codes I'd say you have a O2 sensor going bad. With the B1202 I'd keep an eye on the fuel gauge. I'm kinda tired I'll get more in-depth tomorrow when I'm awake lol.

I'll keep watching the P codes, it only came up after the flood and hasnt come back since. The B1202 is a pain in the ass now. Should it be throwing a check engine light if it's fuel related? I read somewhere that it would also cause the check guages light to come on when the fuel guage wasnt cooperating, any truth behind this? I've only seen that light when I'm actually running low on fuel.

It's a sender code so it could make what ever the sender send signals too. I still can't find any info on that other B code other then the pts ford site discussion boards Saud they've seen them on windstars had to do with a hydrologic brake concern of some sort.
