Hey guys..

I have searched like an maniac, but i would love some input on a secific idea i have. You see. It all comes from the fact that what i have of choices. Aint much and the setup in mind makes sense.. in a way. And again, maybe not.

I have an offer to get 2xflowmaster 40´s, 2,25 in and 2,25 out - for a good price.. Anyways.. Reading all the posts about exhausts has made me convinced that i need at least 2,5 going in. But to compensate for that i was thinking to use both of the mufflers. One for each tube.. I was thinking to run the tubes all the way to the back, remove the spare and mounting and place the mufflers there.. And run it out the back..

What im thinking would be bad is maybe the flow through the both would be too slow.. I want good loud sound.. And im theorizing about the much lesser preasure thrugh this system will result in a much more mellow sound than i would prefer.. With this in mind i could downsize the diameter going to the mufflers to "even it out"... Thats my thoughts..

The other choice there is, is just to run a Y pipe, single 2,25 in / out and that it from there.. And sell the xtra... :/ And thats not easy.. Spain is not the right scene for selling that type of muffler.. This is rice country..

Has anyone done this dual muffler thing before? I have to buy both anyways.. And i thought it could be a bit exiting, But i would like your thoughts in this also, as i dont want to do all that extra work (read use money) if someone can tell me its likely to be quiet.. Thats the deal..

Im sorry if youre sick of this exhaust talk. BUt i havent found any info running this setup..

Thanks in advance... :-)

It will not be as loud as your hoping for if you still have your cat on. You can prob go with out mufflers and it will still be to quiet for you.

also its not going to sound as good as the v8

What i am asking here, is if the decrease in exhaust speed using 2 mufflers instead on 1, wil significantly decrease the volume..

So coming up with that lame ass answer that "no matter what i do it wont be loud enough for me" is just crap. It has nothing to do with what i am asking .. So if you haven´t got a clue about what im asking, i dont see why youre even posting..
