Dual Rear Shocks

R

rpenner54

I have decided to not put the rear Anti-Sway bar back in my Explorer. If I do this should I go to dual shocks, and if I do go to duals, what kind of mod to the top of the crossmember do I need to make? Does it need to be reinforced, or can I drill simimular holes as the ones allready in there? Any thoughts on this would be nice.

LOL, um no you don't really need that dude. Just go with some nice RS9000's.

Man I used to be silly... Ask questions before trying! HA! LOL

Yo Ryan did you ever get that Window from that yard up here in MN

Yes you will

Ryan; do you have a lift installed? If not, you dont need the extra control (Stiff!) that they offer. I have a total 8" of lift and a very large spare mounted on the back. The addition of the dual shocks made a huge difference (even more than duals up front). Yes' you'll have to make some kind of braket to attach the shocks to the crossmember. I made a subassembly/brackets for top and bottom. Do you have a welder? No? Use the money that you would pay someone to make the brackets ($220.00) and get busy yourself--you wont regret it.

i'm confused ... what happend in the first 2 posts?
