I have a question for all of you that have a '13 or newer Ford. I ordered the "factory" DVD package..and i was wondering if they are worth it? They are 2 grand and for that money can i get something better? One of the salesman at a competitive dealership said his are better because his each seat can play their own DVD. But he didn't know if the new ones could do the same. I think he was just trying to make the sale. I would appreciate it the feedback..btw i already ordered my Explorer Sport FULLY LOADED Black with Black-Sienna Interior and i'm trading my 2010 Lexus Gx460 for this...I'm already on edge as it is. The dvd system in the Lexus was decent but i'm hoping alot of things have changed in the last 3 years of technology.

Thanks

Save your money and simply buy a couple of 10" tablets and seat mounts.......total would be less than $250.00 and the kids can also remove them from the vehicle.......

Aftermarket ones can play 2 different DVDs. One member posted up aftermarket ones that even had a leather cover so when they weren't inuse the leather cover flipped up and covered the screens and looked like factory headrests.

I was debating on this one too, and for $2k, there's definitely a lot other options out there!

I have the factory units, but they were on the vehicle I bought. They are nice, but had I ordered it, I doubt I would have included them. I agree with the poster above: I like the idea of a couple of "iPad" devices and some cheap Bluetooth headphones. Save a ton of money and arguably get better functionality.

Just remember: criminals can take them out of the car too... :)
