E-Brake Light

Hey,

Quick question. The emergency brake light on my dash sometimes comes on... sometimes does. Some days I'll apply the e-brake, and the light will come on - other times it won't. Heck - I think sometimes when I apply the e-brake and shut off the engine, it doesn't come on, but the next morning it is lit.

Any suggestions?

There's a switch connected to the pedal. If you get under there and look you'll probably be able to see it, i honestly can't tell you if you can for sure since i've never looked myself . There's probably a loose conection at that switch or the switch itself might be bad. You could goto a u-pull and get one pretty cheap to try. I have problems with my light too...i'm in the same boat as dman though, i'm lazy

There is a switch there and it can be seen quite easily. Mine did the same thing. All I did was a quick spray with WD-40 and work the switch in and out with my fingers. Never had a problem since.
