check brake fluid

Ditto. Your brake fluid's low.

i just got all my fluids changed like 2 weeks ago

Which means...... absolutely nothing.

There are two things that cause that light to come on: Low brake fluid, or the switch on your e-brake pedal. Assuming you're not pressing on the e-brake pedal as you accelerate, it means your brake fluid level is low. The fluid level is the most common cause.

Check it and report back.

mine did the exact same thing...filled the fluid, still came on like yours...then i got ticked, decided to wiggle the wire on the master cylinder and it hasnt done it since. Try it...wont hurt.

The sensor on the master cylinder is a subject by itself. Keep an eye on that, as it was recalled on most late 90's Fords. If it leaks it can start a fire.

I agree about the fluid also, just check things over carefully, it should be simple. Good luck,

Different sensor. You're referring to the brake pressure switch. The light comes on when the brake fluid level sensor in the reservoir sinks to the bottom.

All fluids means: Engine, transmission, transfer case and differentials.

The only time brake fluid is changed is when new brakes are done.

Moving this to the Under The Hood forum

If you're lucky! A lot of shops won't even touch the front diff because there is no way to drain it without dropping the axle. Dumb design IMHO.

ok ok guys i changed the break fluid and it solved the problem thanks guys
