eagle falls (in tahoe again!)

hey fellas, with the first snowfall of the winter, we decided to drive up to the sierras and take a little winter hike. this is in the lake tahoe area on a trail called eagle falls. its an easy hike, but the snow makes it a whole different ball game. here's a few pics and a few pics of my trac. ill post more as i make it up there again.

Oh wow. You guys are a lot braver than I am. I was expecting more snow on the ground, was this earlier in the week/weekend? In that case, how was the ride back?!

this was last friday. when we got into tahoe that morning, it was actually sunnyc but by the time we were driving back to the bay that evening it was a full on snow storm. it was pretty slow sledding coming down the mountain. it took about an extra hour driving to get home. i made it down without chains in 2wd with my lockers on. you hear a lot of stories about lockers making it harder to drive in snow, but with my 33" duratracs and aussie lockers, and a little know how, it was all good. cant wait for more snow!ill post more pics as soon as i get more. thanks fellas.

thansk rock, it was. im supposed to be picking up my new to me snowboard from a guy in sacramento in the next day or two then ill be ready for some real fun. gotta show the forum what CA has to offer i missed my chance to tour central CA and doing a mojave run, but me and my buddy are planning it for spring 2012.
