I have just finished a coil spring spacer and Warrior shackle lift. (Doc and photos comming.) By using 1" thick spacers I was forced to discard the lower spring seat and spring insulator as the bolt is too short.

Although the top spring retainer cap is sufficient to hold the spring in place, it is a tacky knowing that it is really not done correctly.

Does anyone know if someone has a 1"-2" longer bolt available? Another advantage of putting the spring insulator and lower seat back in, besides being correct, is that combined they provide about 3/8" of additional lift which would bring the front fairly close the the rear height.

Note that I'm already looking to add the longer front coils and rear add-a-leaf then the a body lift. Boy this has become addicting....

Thanks in advance.

Ok, just a quick update.

I have about 300 miles on the spacers and have not had any problems running without the lower seat and insulator installed. So I'm going to skip the longer bolt search.

The spacer/shackle lift brought the rear fender height to 34.5" and the front to 33". I started looking for longer coils for the front and found the 1.5" "leveling kit" from Rough Country for $110.00. In theory this should bring the front up the 34.5" and also just below the magic height where you start running into alignment problems.

I should get the springs on Thursday and put them in over the weekend. I'll take some more photos and add a second chapter to the doc.

The guys at Rough Country already sold me on their 2" body lift so you know what the third chapter is going to be on...

Thanks to all for such a wonderful addiction.

Best regards.
