OK, i need an amp, and my speakers have a 45w continuous power handling, so i was wondering what is the max output from an amp? its dumb but i have no knowledge and i dont want to keep it that way, thanks

you need to look for an amp that doesn't have an rms rating over 45w. I would think that a 30x2 or 40x2 amp would be sufficient. always look for rms ratings because that is the continuous power.

Yeah what he said^^^^ The other option is if you happen to find an amp for cheap that puts out more power than that, you can just keep your gains turned down.
