eazest way to replace cmp on a 94

I have a 94 explorer I bought it for 200.00 someone had attempted to replace the clutch, for some reason they wanted the wires off the sensor, they ripped them off and broke the sensor, I have a new sensor and a haynes manual is that the easiest way to do it?

I'm assuming the speed sensor for the cruise control?

I've never had to replace the camshaft position sensor but i saw it done once and basically the guy changing crawled up on top of the motor and changed it that way.
