Greetings!

I own a ford explorer with 2.0L Ecoboost. Unfortunately, one technician forgot my O2 (Bank 1 , Sensor 2) sensor unconnected and the wiring harness terminal that connects the sensor lead to the main wiring harness got melted!

I'm suffering now with my car (Check engine light is on, very rough idling, too much fuel consumption, almost no power...etc).

I searched for the wire and couldn't find any, neither in the local market nor at the dealership.

Could you please help me with this?

Very much appreciated!

The o2 sensor end or the engine harness end? If it's just the o2 sensor end then you'll probably have to buy a new o2 sensor as those ends are not sold separately. You can get the harness pigtail from ford though.

Thank you

Many thanks for your response.

The burn from the other side... the connection that plugs into the o2 sensor pigtail and connects to the main car harness.

If this was the result of a technician's error, why are they not fixing it?

As Peter mentioned. If a so Called technician is to blame, said shop or dealership should be replacing the connector or harness at they're cost, not yours!
