EcoBoost 2.3L noise around 30 MPH when accel

FIXED FIXED FIXED!!!!

According to the technician, there was a plastic piece shielding fuel/evap and brake lines. That piece was vibrating against the body of the body. He threw in some foam tape of some sort to quiet it down.

I get a little blip before the shift at 6500 now, but I think this fix works for me well enough. :D

Fixed? Really? Great!!
Can you locate where that is? You need to go under in order to spot it? or you need to take some apart to spot it? oh man.
what do you recommend for me? I couldnt manage to duplicate the noise with the mechanic..
Happy for you.

Not really sure on the location other than somewhere behind the dash area where it emanates. The piece hangs on two studs which it had been vibrating off of.

I don't have the full service writeup yet, the paperwork will be in the mail. If I get more info that way I'll post it.

It seems to be heat sensitive. Under 70 it might not do it; over 75-80-90 degrees it starts to make a ton of noise.

Does it sound like a metallic rattle?
(I've been able to recreate what I hear as a metallic rattle going up a steep hill in a tall gear, before it downshifts)

Did you ever get your rattle sound resolved?

Mine occurs 5th gear at 1500-1800 rpm on hills.
