If you're looking for the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks I think they were discontinued last year. I had a set of them on my 1997 Tahoe and thought they were a good compromise for handling vs comfort. I have a set of the IAS lowering shocks on my 2000 Sport and the ride is very firm.
I was pleased with the firm ride of the Edelbrock shocks for handling, but they are definitely too firm for my wife. Just a thought as if your roads are bad it may not be worth it.
