EGR Delete Fuel Ocatne

With an EGR Delete/bypass does this affect timing to the point where a higher octane should be used?

This is on a 4.6, I have a bbk plenum 73mm and matching size intake pipe with stock airbox.

I can't tell you from experience with this particular situation, but I go by knock as to whether or not to run premium. If it doesn't knock under load you don't need higher octane.
