Egr delete ?

has anyone tryed a egr delete ive been thinking of trying it on my 86 and just thought i would ask if it made any differance powerwise and how was the fuel economyafter? better or worse?

I have a 86. it still has it and needs the egr sensor. The emission light is on. I had thought about doing the same. It is advised to keep it, it prevents pinging. With the crappy fuel used today, I will get a new sensor soon.
